I noticed that other internet offerings of this program had variable volume between and within shows, so I volume-normalized these files (with Audition) for consistent volume throughout each show, with all the shows the same.
They're all 22050 Hz sampling rate and 32 Kbps MP3 encoded (most were that to begin with), and the MP3 tags have been set consistently. NO noise reduction was done.
Missing episodes (3 of 95; 92 are here): #16, #29, #41 - all "no title" according to Wikipedia.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tales_of_the_texas_rangers: Tales of the Texas Rangers, a western adventure old-time radio drama, premiered on July 8, 1950, on the US NBC radio network and remained on the air through September 14, 1952. Movie star Joel McCrea starred as Texas Ranger Jayce Pearson, who used the latest scientific techniques to identify the criminals and his faithful horse, Charcoal (or "Charky," as Jayce would sometimes refer to him), to track them down. The shows were reenactments of actual Texas Ranger cases.
The series was produced and directed by Stacy Keach, Sr., and was sponsored for part of its run by Wheaties.
Captain Manuel T. "Lone Wolf" Gonzaullas, a Ranger for 30 years and who was said to have killed 31 men during his career, served as consultant for the series. ++

like The Saint and some of The Whistler. As you know, it is not enough to merely lay down the audio without giving the shows a zero level. Another thing: other old shows are in sad need of equalization. They are horribly muffled as well as lacking in volume adjustment.
